It’s a lose-lose situation for FIA & F1:

  • Merc goes to court and wins -> Lewis WC, Max loser
  • Merc goes to court and lose -> Max WC, Merc sore loser
  • FIA invalidates last race -> Max WC, Lewis loser although he lost a race which he was to win w/o Masi‘s stupidity of bending SC rules

@Whoopsy said it right, the best would have been to red flag the race, restart for 3 laps with everyone on a new set of tyres (if available) and take it to the end.

For now the rice is cooked, Masi will/ should be good fired as we‘re talking a billion dollar business and he f**ked up big time not only this race but the entire season.

The two way communication between teams and race director should be stopped, in no other sport you can talk to the referee during the event to interfere (only in play breaks).

Lewis‘s did all right Espenlaubes in this race, Max took profit from an extrem bad call from Masi but still he deserves the title as much as Lewis would have.

Now we should move on at see what’s going to happen next season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lewis and Merc will be very aggressive as of the start especially with Max to let him prove his worthiness of the so called „stolen title“.

Remember Barbie Rosberg who walked away in a minute after his title win 2016, he knew what was going to be expected from Lewis, total destruction.

And I expect the same in 2022, Lewis will get his 8th title and show who’s still the alpha dog as a complete F1 driver & champ.
