Someone has to do the dirty work ........

Nah, the story writes itself this year. It's a once in a lifetime season.

There are 4 young guns coming of age, 1 of those already have a championship winning caliber car and a maturing attitude. The old guard, defending champion, doesn't have the fastest car anymore and had to reply on skills and experience to stay in the fight, going for the record #8. The storyline doesn't end this year however, it will continue to next year. Red Bull is going all in this year and sacrificing 2022, so if Max doesn't win, he will start off on the back foot in 2022 chasing. The other 3 could win next year and denying Max again. Ferrari or Mclaren could be the dominant car for 2022 after all, with Red Bull going all in and Mercedes pushing and spending less time for the new car.
