I saw a report recently of PCNA soliciting volunteer Cayenne owners to participate in a 2 month "black box" program. The dealer fits a black box data recording device to the car and collects vehicle information like speed, g-force, gear changes, engine rpm, etc. There was some hint that they were investigating locking center differential issues.

One owner reported that he signed up and they installed a black wooden box, about the size of a shoebox. It was velcroed to the floor in the cargo area and took about 5 minutes to install.

Has anyone else heard of this?
