I also find the GT3 design very successful for a Porsche of its class. My favourite modern 911 design is the GT2 RS (991) with the new GT3 just behind.

All sports cars are growing larger with lots of appendages and gaping holes. See the present day Ferraris and Lamborghinis, for example  which are not lithe and gracefully stylish anymore as they used to be.

Similarly,  the contemporary GT3 for reasons we all know cannot be tiny and puristic like a 70s 2.7 RS

The point is, yes cars have gotten bigger, but the Ferraris and Lamborghinis didn't gain significantly in one measurement, they just got proportionally larger.

The 992 on the other hand gain disproportionally in the waist section, it's like a playboy model went on a 5000 calorie a meal diet without exercise. At this rate, the next generation of 911s might have it's widest point at the waist line instead of the hips.

A barrel shape instead of a coke bottle shape.Smiley
