I watched that 992 GT3 lap vidéo again. 
And I wonder if the driver didn’t actually hold back. The lap is too clean. He never seems at the limit in corners, unlike in the video with  the 991.2 GT3 RS video.  
Doing a lap just under 7 minutes is just perfectly fitted for marketing. 
Fast enough to impress everyone. 
Not fast enough to make the 991.2 RS look like a loser. 
Leaving enough room for the 992 RS to make a time that will impress and make the car look worthwhile. 

I had that thought too.  If Kevin Estre made a lap like he did in the RS (100% effort qualifying lap), I feel like the lap would be even faster.  I wonder if they only bring Estre when they are really trying to reach for the best possible time?
