The BMW 4 is very acceptable in terms of looks in real life. Maybe not everybody's favourite design (and which one is everybody's choice?) but OTOH far from unacceptable and ugly. Over the years BMW have tried all sorts of front grilles, so why not add this one to the big variety?

The M3/M4 front looks even more attractive (judging from pictures) with the grille installed a bit deeper into the body without the pronounced surround.

I think the 4 series will sell very well for BMW because it has a lot of presence, it is distanced further from the saloon/sedan 3 series model and it has a lot of affordable performance from the typically cultivated BMW drivetrains.

These M performance accessories as in pictures above are in bad taste mostly but for BMW to offer there must a market for them. I've seen many of these type of "tuned" cars in Germany, so why shouldn't the manufacturer make some money from his own collection?
