I'm afraid most of these regulations-chasing tweaks are not going to age well.  Once they get out of warranty, better budget for more expensive repairs vs. simpler, earlier generations.

Nothing new. Cars with a more complex technology were always more difficult to maintain.

And it is not driven by our bad government nor fake media, it’s driven by the customers. If you compare a 12V generation car with the same model with 48V technology you won’t go back (at least if it is your daily driver). Whoopsy is right, some features are only possible because of 48V. Maybe you should talk with some engineers working in car development.
