I agree the existing 991.1 GT3 calipers are too heavy. I see larger back cut outs with the new design which should offset a fair bit of the increase in mass. I agree Porsche have Brembo on a budget here but it would be nice if they were able to lighten the caliper using the same techniques as the Radi Cal set ups that Racebrakes and others sell. Ive looked at about a dozen images of the new caliper some fairly high resolution and it does seem there is a deliverate design change here - hopefully for easier pad swaps and its obvious for better ventillation....

Someone on Rennlist posted these rumors including 10-piston brakes.  I thought this was great, until I realized that the only 10-piston caliper made by Brembo is for the Cayenne Turbo - hope we're not getting these...

3. Advanced 992 Chassis design with wider Front and Rear Track.

4. Staggered Wheel Diameters with 20 Inches in Front and 21 Inches rear ala the 991 GT3RS.

5. New improved generation Michelin Cup 2 Tires with wider Fronts at 255 mm and wider Rears at 315 mm.

6. Improved EPAS and RWS with faster feedback response using newly developed on-board computers.

7. Improved Rear Wing Aero mounted higher and with increased downforce.

8. Improved and redesigned more effective Under-Car Diffuser with wider and longer strakes.

9. 14% Larger and more effective brake discs and pads with new 10 pot front calipers.

10. Improved front and rear brake cooling.

992 GT3 Performance improvement from 991 generation expected to match or exceed 997 to 991 generations.
