Too much literature, too little auto.
As usual, from him

If one of us were required to write for a family newspaper ( not a car enthusiast rag ) , how would we fill up a whole page once we've regurgitated the manufacturers specs , posted test numbers , threw in a couple of popular web site critiques and commented on how it felt driving two laps around a track and once down and back on a canyon road - i.e, the first three paragraphs ? And how would we vary our "story" week after week to keep the general reader and the car enthususiast equally interested ?
There's a reason these guys have to " contemplate their navel" so much !
