Other than being louder, it seems that the pitch is higher as well now - correct? Has it lost some of the growl that is a signature of this engine?

Actually no. I’m surprised how high pitched it sounds on the approach, the sound you hear in the cabin is more the growl you hear in the video when the car has passed. It sounds very 911.

I believe it's because the sound is being significantly doppler shifted as the GT3 approaches towards the camera at high speed and the wavelength is being compressed into a much higher frecuency than the actual sound, while in the cabin you are running away from the sound and is shifted to a lower frecuency, just like when it passes the camera.

BTW, sounds AMAZING!
