One of the engineers I talked to told me that the Diesel particulate filters seem to "work" differently, the petrol particulate filters pose challenges because of various different factors, whatever they are. I'm not an engineer, so maybe someone here could find an explanation. Smiley

For diesel, you don't have sufficient temperature at the exhaust so you need to artifically increase it.

For petrol engines, it is not the case... but petrol engine release way more particulate than diesel and this is where the challenge is...
