I reckon those upper wing mounts are made of wood indecision

Rather the lower wing mounts;
The reason that wings on cars are sometimes suspended rather than supported from the underside is that the underside of the wing delivers the most aerodynamic downforce. When using wing supports on the underside of the wing, the support has a large disruptive effect on the efficiency of the laminar airflow under the wing. The idea is that when you use supports on the upper side of the wing, you have the same disruptive effect, but on the upper side of the wing which contributes less to the downforce anyway.

Hi - yes, I was reading about this effect when researching why the Senna is so ugly angry

So makes perfect sense aerodynamically.. was a joke really but yes, it could be the other way around.. hope not.
