All these stories about Ford killing off their automotive lineup in North America are lies spread to make fans of the automaker feel bad. The Crown Vic is another vehicle in the automaker's development test. The sixth-generation (S650) Mustang will ride on a shorter wheelbase version of the Panther II platform that the Crown Vic will ride on. For 2020, the Crown Victoria will challenge the ultimate sedans in GT5 and GT7 forms. The GT5 with its 560hp, 5.0L V8 will compete with track-able go-getters like the Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack, Cadillac CTS-V, Lexus GS F, and BMW M5. The GT7 with its 737hp, 7.0L V8 will rival powerhunters like the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and the Mercedes-AMG E63 S.

The ST version with its 4.0TT V8 producing 503hp will compete with middle-grounds luxury sports sedans such as the Mercedes-AMG C63 S, BMW M550i, Audi S6, and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. It will also be a little heavier than the GT5. Unlike the GT5 and GT7, the ST wears sets of 275/45/19 tires rather than the boldy 305/40/20.

Projected top speed is 238 miles per hour for the GT7 model, and even the GT5 model will hit 205, slashing the Dodge Charger Hellcat's 204, the Aston Martin Rapide's 203, the Bentley Flying Spur W12 S's 202, the BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe's 201, and the Cadillac CTS-V's 200.

0-60 mph times for the Sport AWD (3.0 Twincharged I6/393hp), ST (4.0TT V8/503hp), GT5 (5.0NA V8/560hp), and GT7 (7.0NA V8/737hp) are all 3.8 seconds. The GT7 is actually the slowest to 60 because it needs the longer gear ratio capable of 60 in first gear to prevent a wheelspin, but it will leave the rest of the CV lineup after that. Both the Sport AWD and the ST pack 516 lb-ft of torque.

0-60 mph times for the Sport RWD (2.3T I4/300hp) and the Police Interceptor (3.5TT V6/450hp) are 4.8 seconds.

0-60 mph times for the Base (2.7NA I6/252hp) and the Police Interceptor (2.7TT V6/335hp) are 6.6 seconds. The S, SE, and SEL versions are even slower to 60 because they are heavier than the Base; they wear 275/45/19 tires just like the Sport and ST, while the Base wears 215/60/16
