First question - How did you manage to post in the FUTURE. It's currently Thursday Oct 16th at 8:32 pm PST

Second question - Where did you get the invite to this event !

I attended this afternoon the SF Bay Area 997.2 PDK PCNA launch event held at Candlestick Park, south of SF. PCNA had a fairly long (about 1 mile) road-course-like autocross that was great to drive these cars. Each participant drove 5 cars (2 CS coupes, 1 CS cabrio, 1 Carrera coupe and 1 Cayman S manual).

This experience reinforced my earlier test drive. These new engines are smooth, free-revving and powerful. The CS is clearly the big winner here. The PDK worked flawlessly. I drove mostly in 2nd but in one of the runs shifted quickly into 1st for a hairpin and back up to 2nd. In another run I finished slowly to the start line to try slow-creeping and stop-and-go, and found it seamless and jerk-free. The 3 CS had SC and I used launch control in all - it's an impressive launch, although I think that sort of a thing is a gimmick.

Kudos to PCNA and Fletcher Jones Porsche for sponsoring this event.
