I can think of many cars preferable to a 911 Turbo.

570S, Huracan 580-2, Audi R8...

None has the space and room of a 911.

In the real world nothing beats a 911. It is different to size up performance in airfields and dedicated race tracks and different to drive fast on real roads with a variety of tarmac ,imperfections, bumps, blind crests, tricky weather etc.

Why are Porsche so good on the NBR? Because the track resembles a real road course.

Besides, visibility is excellent in a 911 compared to the raked windscreens of the "supercars" and its space helps the driving environment compared to the claustrophobic cabins of others.

All 911s are driven whereas the rest are generally static. Has anyone seen a 5 year old Ferrari with 100.000 km on the clock? I doubt it.

The rival brands are very nice to own as trophies, they have dramatic shapes but they are only good for limited driving under ideal conditions. The 911 is in a class of its own. 1.000.000 buyers over the last 55 years cannot be wrong.

the 911 WAS in a class of its own. Now with the price increases and the competition getting better, they are getting cornered. Look how many people here used to own 911 and don't anymore...
