The front of the 992, as shown in the pictures above is not very attractive, active aero or not.

The front grilles are too large and overwhelm the face of the car, which was traditionally very clean.

I hope that with the GT3-like Sports Apron it will look better.

Also, the 911 is growing too big. This might aid high speed stability but it spoils the looks and it has zero effect on accommodation. The 997 was the ideal size and best proportioned IMO.

They have no choice I afraid. Crash regulations, new engine tech, new comfort requirements, many 911 drivers request certain drive assist systems (no kidding!), there is room needed for front axle lifts, rear axle steering, advanced turbo tech, maybe even hybrid tech soon, etc. etc. etc..

It was funny: I parked my R8 next to a AMG GT-S at my Mercedes dealer and I wish I had taken a photo of both one next to each other. My R8 looked tiny in comparison to the GT-S. My son asked if the car has shrunk (no kidding). Smiley
