Remember that the wear rating is set by each manufacturer and is a relative number. You can't compare a 220 from Pirelli to a 220 from Michelin and assume they will wear at the same rate.



I though the same thing until I read this article http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=5015 P zero tires with the same 60 wear rating and R compound ruber. Seems the 60 rating might not be a typo.
