I am puzzled as well. The biggest problem for Ferrari was the air bag issue. According to them, they were physically unable to comply with the DOT requirements based on the 430 configuration. Thus the promise not to sell the 430 in the US beyond september 2008.

BTW, I have driven the 360CS often and though a terrific performance car, I did not find it suitable for frequent public road use. It was too raw and honestly, rough riding. No doubt on the track it would have been a blast to drive.
