997 s is not suposed to be a tack car just like the c2 c4 warent soposed to be, it will be largely a every day user (there are exeptions), but the point is that for 90% of the custemers of the c2,c4 the lap time is irelevant, The only thing they would care aboud is the improvements over the c2,c4, Like roud handeling, aceleration, bracking, comfort, etc. IMO the 997 will be better in every aspect then its predesesors, and the lap times are irelevant.
IMO th 7:56 may be posible with walter rohl at the weel but a magazine test will brobably show 8:05 figure
