And I could be the village [beep] for all I know, but for me the F1 gearbox sucked big time. It might be fine for the track (it can do "fast" very well but that's all it can do) but it can't make smooth changes, and don't try and reverse park the car. In other words it's a bit monolithic in its approach to gearbox management. Even Ferrari acknowledges this as they have hinted a true DSG is on the way.

btw. Ferrari push this gearbox because they make something like an additional $15 million out of sales above a stick shift. No wonder they try and convince everyone it's better!

But it all still comes down to driving a car vs. driving your Playstation - the choice is yours as to what you think you're capable of and best at.
