Actually I find this quote from the article very interesting:

"In a sense, the M Coupe is actually the more involving of the pair because of its imperfections, which is somewhat ironic considering that Porsches once earned their reputation for the very same reason".

Describes pretty well, why some owners of the old aircooled Porsches still prefer these cars over the modern 996/997 Carreras.
Of course it's all a matter of personal preference (SCI testers seem to belong to the perfectionists' camp )Raises the question, whether a sportscar actually can
be "too perfect"
IMO the article is very well written. At least it exactly mirrors my own impressions from a Cayman S testdrive.
Would love to get my hands on the Z4M Coupé to do my own comparo. If SCI is right, BMW must have done an excellent job considering that the original platform (Z4) has been lightyears behind the Boxster in the handling department (my very subjective verdict after testing the Z4 cab).
