It's just me speculating but , it would be better if they used the same engine from the 430 (its not old!) and spend a lot of time on the height and aerodinamics this is something were Audi for example can not compete.

Well, basically they use the same engine, just with a little bit more capacity.

But as history taught us, we can expect an all new car with a relatively mild power upgrade. Just as Ferrari did in the past:
348 -> 355 : same car, but massive power increase and much technical improvement
355 -> 360 : all new car, alu chassis, but only little bit more power, basically the same engine
360 -> 430 : same car, but all new engine, big power increase, manettino
430 -> 4?? : all new car, same engine, mild power increase

etc. pp. ...

In the past it looks like Ferrari comes out with a new body style with a carry over motor and then with their-mid model face lift, a new up graded motor. It may be lack of r&r dollars at play.

I believe today it all depends on what the direct competion will do with their own HP figures. There was talk of the Gallardo coming out with 580 HP, up from their 520 HP. If that happens you can bet that Ferrari will not be far behind.

Isn't competion great
