Just spec'ed out my TT at the dealer and on Friday. During the process they showed me two vehicle distribution bulletins dated Aug 2 2006.

The first one reads: "Commencing with the factory shutdown (August 7-25) Option X54 (chrome stainless steel tailpipes) will be standard equipment on 911 Turbo models."

The second one says: "Effective immediately, option XCZ - Sport Shifter, is no longer available for factory installation. This option will be removed from all stock orders which are in a changable status. Existing customer orders will not be effected. Sport Shifter will continue to be available through Tequipment.

The dealer quoted $915 installed for the sport shifter.

I'm not too keen on having to rip out the leather center console interior to do the install at the dealer? Would you be worried too??
