I have three unrelated major failure reports on Pirelli Scorpions that convinced me not to buy the N rated Scorpion off-road tire. This is completely unscientific, anecdotal information but it scared me off the Scorpion (failures were of various kinds, various cars, but all Scorpions on SUV's).

Ouch I appreciate your disclaimer about the non-scientific nature of your report, but that seems to be enough smoke that there's bound to be a little fire. I've never been a big fan of Pirellis on my previous cars (not looking to start a flame war with anyone - just my personal experience), but I'm pretty happy with the Rossos that came on the truck. But a major failure on a truck with no spare is a real pain, even if it doesn't happen at 150 mph.

Thanks for the info!
