I think it could make sense. The X51 was about 15K for essentially different heads and manifolds I believe. I think there's a cohort of 911 fans that would pay 50K for 9K rpm in the format of their choosing. How many people on RT end up buying 2 or 3 cars to fill different roles? Many do. And choice is always welcome even if it's not cheap. Porsche has excellent marketing;I think the level of engagement between a GTS with a GT3 power plant vs the 991.2 turbo power plant is large enough to cover 50K. Certainly the price difference between Mercedes models and AMG models can be that large or larger. I get it that AMG is more than just a power kit.
