Doing rally's was a family business. His father and eldest brother also participated in this business.

When my father got married, my mother forbid him to continue rallying, so I never had the chance to see drving. But yes, his interest in cars is in my vaines too :-)

After that career, he started a Bosch Service Center and we (his crew and I as an electronics engineer) worked on cars with electrical problems, wether general of performance problems. Later on I went into the IT business as an independent  consultant/infrastructure architect but never lost the interest in cars.

So very recently I bought this 911.2 and my father sat in a Porsche for the first time in his life. Nobody knew he would die 5 months later because a pancreas cancer.Nasty cancer I can tell you. Dead in 3 weeks enlightened
