911 R will have new supersensitive steering that will allow the driver to feel that he or she run over worm on the country road. It will be little bit eco-unfriendly so beware of Green party voters or supporters.

Engine will be hmm... 4.0 with little bit less power then on RS or 3.8. That makes a lot of sense since Porsche has on stock adequate number of factory refrashed 3.8 engines.

Price will be beyond good and evil.

911 R will be slower on both track and road then 991 GT3 and GT3 RS. Barely any faster then Cayman GT4 on the track. Barely any faster then 991.2 C2S on the road.

But, it will be able to (barely?!) fulfill die hard manual fans wishes and dream. At Porsche hopes that. I can already predict based on info that I got from my P source that many die hard manual fans won't be entirly happy with 911 R, for various reasons...
