True, if the Carrera can run without a wing so could a car with GT3 engine.

However, the aerodynamic front/rear balance is crucial. If you remove the wing you should change the front apron too or at least the lower lip in order to match.

If a car is out of aero balance you never know when it will become unsettled by cross winds for example, and crash.

In the case of an accident, Porsche would (if asked for their expertise) clearly blame aerodynamics (balance), especially if the speed was higher than 120-140 kph, you are completely right. Even at slightly lower speeds, the aerodynamics could be an issue, like the crosswinds (very strong ones) you mentioned.

I love the look of the car without that wing but I think that the front needs to be switched as well.
