I'd even suggest putting black vinyl over the bit of body between where the glass ends and the grill begins to give the impression of a larger swooping roof line.

Not feeling it ..one of the iconic features of the 911 from day 1 and the main visual attribute to indicate it is rear engined is  its rectangular engine vent whether chrome, later black or recent years body colored ...this loses  that ...makes it look like a front engined car to the uninitiated and mimics the look of new front engined Jaguar F-type Coupe and MBZ AMG GT-S , ( off topic, but look at those ungainly 1980s style bumper guards on the AMG GT-S ...what is up with that , on a newly developed model ,.....in 2015 ?? )
