I remember thinking that at the beginning. If break-in recommendations are really to be taken very seriously they should be formal warnings against excessive use of SC during break in.

So since there's no restrictions on SC use during breakin I gotta think breakin recommedations are merely suggestions.

Also, has anybody heard of a car which lost warrenty coverage because somebody refused to follow breakin recommedations?

All this tends to suggest Porsche's breakin reccomendations are needlessly conservative. I.e. yeah maybe for the first 500 miles keep RPMs varied and low, but not for 2000!
