I do think the Cups are quite a bit faster than the Corsas though, fwiw...


The Nurburgring is in altitude.Temperatures are quite low there over the whole year(don't know temperatures get higher than 20*C...).
Then there are the huge straights.The tires cool down and we know semi slicks have to be quite warm to generate maximum grip.Normal street tires are not so dependant on the temperature of the tire surface.

That's my opinion.


That makes sense. The Cups need to be 160F before they have much grip...
