Porker:
Thanks so much for the pictures! It looks stunning, the interior is a very pleasant surprise.
Regarding the "Weissach-package", what is included? Is it only a weight saving and some dive planes at the front, or is the suspension re-worked as well? From a collector's POV, don't you think cars equipped with such a package will be the ones to have? Think for example about the 993 GT2, the Clubsport-equipped cars are the ones commanding premiums, same goes for the 959 or lower down the Porsche-hierachy, the 968.
Yes you are right, from a collection POV, the Weissach package makes sense. As does the liquid metal paint because it will be unique to the 918. But the cost, ouh la la!!!
But this for something like 20 years down the line. And who knows if the 918 will be a success, a technological tour de force, yes, without a doubt, a future collector, in 20 years time, yes I think so, but right now, humm, not sure.
Weissach package includes dive plans front and rear, lightweight braking system, decals films directly applied on the body so you save the pain too, carbone everywhere inside and out and alcantara inside I believe, no armrest or storage on doors, I think that's it. Deletion of AC and Audio too but can be added at no cost.
Roof in bare carbon, which, to me, looks a bit off if your car is grey.
