Ferdie:

BTW: next week my 964 RS will be at Porsche Classic for a service - they have moved from Zuffenhausen to "Freiberg am Neckar".  Pics will followSmiley

That´s great! Would be great to hear about your experience then.

Short report from Porsche Classic - my car is there for a regular service:

The work shop is now for 3 years in an old factory building at Freiberg am Neckar. In 2014 they will move again to Werk 1 in Zuffenhausen. Their workshop in the oldest part of the porsche factory will be build completely new.

Right now the workshop is very unattractiv and small – they have a staff of about 20 people, 2 of them are working only on 959s. At the time of my visit  twelve  959s were waiting for service or repairs… They also do repairs on the museum cars, f.e. the 356 SL from LeMans was involved in an transportation-accident. The damage is about 100.000 EUR.  The famous 550 Panamericana was standing in a dirty corner.

For customers they work on Porsche cars including the 993, but they also do the repairs on press cars, f.e. there was an GT3 RS 4.0 with a accident.

Here some crappy iPhone pics:
