I don't agree that the GTS is materially superior to the S. A good value for money yes, as any end of the line special is expected to be. The areas where the 991 is superior to the the 997.2 S is also superior to the GTS. But in both cases not so much better as to spend the extra cash.

There are a few aspects where the 997 'GTS' supersedes the 'S'... apart from value for money.

23 more horses.  Wide body on RWD.  RS Spyder CL wheels.  Sport Design front apron.  Special side-skirts.  Interior alcantara (if you want it!).  Standard PSE.  Power-train intake upgrades to boost output.  Earlier maximum torque.... just to name a few that spring to mind!

Not saying that the 997.2S is not a great car... it is, but the GTS does have certain advantages...Smiley
