We need also to consider that the depreciation of the water cooled 911 is linked to the fact that the production numbers are massively higher than they used to be for the air cooled ones. For example there were about 68,000 993 produced vs about 170,000 996 (worldwide) . I do not know the 997 figures but I can speculate they are significantly higher than ones of the 996 . High availabillity is a contributing factor to the depreciation.
