Not with me, but it's in the manual. Take a look ... they claim it should only be removed and replaced by the dealer or a certified Porsche technician, because of the equipment needed to reprogram everything. Apparently, it can affect everything from suspension to engine maintenance to braking.

But again, if your car was running fine after the battery change, it sounds like all that was done correctly.

Again, what makes you think the CEL is a battery problem? When my battery got weak last week, there was no CEL. It just wouldn't start (as I was trying to get to the airport!)
