Ferrari do not have to worry about emissions and CO2. No real EU directive restrictions or penalties for manufacturers below 10K units per annum.

Silly to do a turbo engine then. If anything they would have done it on the California which is the softer model and not on the pure sports model.

 

I read an interview to Durnheimer where he said no restrictions under 300k units....so the limit is 10k or 300k?

Under 10K practically no restriction. Ferrari, Maserati,RR, Aston etc

10K-300K units i.e. Porsche group they must reduce the fleet average CO2 as at the end of 2007 or 2008(not sure which year) by 25% by 2012. That is in this group they don't have to achieve the 130 grams/km that is the target for the rest of the manufacturers. This is a relief because 130g/km wouldn'tbe achievable by Porsche.
