Joost , that's benefit of advanced age (I am 56) - I take nothig at face value and question everything . Speaking about questions , in your sentence : " Everythng points toward this being the real thing" - what is ' Everything' , if you care to elaborate ?
Misha, with everything, I meant the fact that these pics look a lot like the official pictures we have seen by porsche vefore. Both in composition and in color and background. Also, these pictures seem to be inline with pictures of noth heavily and not heavily camouflaged panameras. Also, Porsche doesn't have a history of entirely cocooning mules. Untill now, their tactic seem to have been to slowly peel away the layers of camouflage on the mules on the street. I can't remember any big surprises of cars that were released. Additional, the dutch article on autotelegraaf.nl tells us that the mebargo on press pictures was to be lifted on monday 24 november, so this is another hint that these are the real pictures. Another thing is that Christian claims to have seen a) CAD imagery of the real thing. b) the real thing, c) these pictures, and tells that they are all the same. OK, these pics could be of a cocooned model (but why release press pics of a fake car?) And yes, christian might have seen that fake car, but I can't imagine that there are also CAD pictures made of a fake car.
The only thing that points TOWARD the cocooning theory is the strange thickness of the doors as we have seen it in several spypics, but it could be that the doors are just terribly thick.
All in all, my conclusion is that this is the real thing. I hope that it isn't, but I wouldn't put my mooney on the cocoon theory.
