US base price on the AMV8 is $110k. With all options and tax, the price is about $130K. Every consumer has different criteria for selecting a car. I feel the V8 Vantage suits my needs well and is worth the price. As is frequently stated on car forums, an automobile purchase is usually not a strictly rational decision. The argument that the Aston is not worth the money if it does not have performance figures to beat or match a 911 doesn't hold much water for me. If performance and value were the only determinents, everyone would be driving a 2006 Corvette Z06 and Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini would all be out of business.
