Not hard to believe. These measures have less to do with craftsmanship, more to do with driving off the dealer's lot and never having to come back. GM makes a pretty reliable and bulletproof tool. It's just not a tool anybody cares to own as much as they used to. Don't fall for urban stereotypes, as they're often undeserved lingering relics from gone generations. Just ask Jaguar... And Mercedes will be catching sh** for it's recent quality glitches for decades, far past when they actually shore-up the problems.
