The CLK Black series is another story though. It is lighter than the CLK63, another body kit, racier engine and most importantly much more exclusive. The Black series car are sold in quantities of only 1000(If my memory doesn't fail me). This is a car for Mercedes Africandos who want a benz that the guy next door won't be able to get his hands on, and are off course willing to pay extra for it.

That's still quite a price hike, I'd understand 90K but 140K is a bit steep, still pretty impressive though

It's not possible to translate prices in EUR directly over to USD as MB charges in each country what they think the market will bear. As the US market is harder to compete in, I would expect it to come in at less than 140 000 USD in the US.
