Hi Ferdie - Yes , it looks like they moved the radiator further up into the car. This has always been a week point for the 997RSR. This year they have had several problems with on track incidents which caused serious damage to the radiators.
If the rumors are true, Porsche will be working on the new LMP1during 2009. This of course, is not to say that they will not continue to develop the RSR.

Last season they were strong with the RSR in the ALMS (all possible titles), but in FIA-GT and LMS they were behind the 430GTs
Any change of priorities or focus in 2009?

The LMS results were due to tires. The Ferrari had Dunlop development tires whilst the Porsche had to race on Michelin customer tires. In the ALMS where both cars ran on development tires, the differences were illegible.
Nothing official yet on 2009 racing program. What we can decipher so far is that the factory backed Penske Spyder Program is over but Porsche will carry on selling the Spyders to customer teams.
The strongest rumors indicate a possible LMP1 program with a hybrid that will be developed by Penske and Porsche during 2009. NB - THIS IS CURRENTLY ONLY A RUMOR.
There is also an indication that Porsche are interested in developing an engine for IRL/INDY, as the 2011 rules for that series will take on board small turbo charged engines (with about 750 BHP)

oh come on spyderidol, you know all the facts, ferrari was the one with the weight penalties for wining almost all the races, whie at the begining of the season porsches got a 30kg (witch was kept till the end) weigth break witch didnt help them much.
In fiag gt Both ferrari and Porsche were on the same Michelins!

Oh come on Arakis, I didn't say Porsche had the penalties! Read my post again ! If you still cant understand it, then I'll explain it slowly!
As for FIA GT - According to Ferdie (I think) they did not have the same tires.
Where I do know that they had the same tires was in the ALMS - And there... Ferari got beaten.
