dazzpowder:
I was just told by Porsche East London that the MF Steering wheel cannot be retrofitted, is this true? I have the Cocoa interior if that makes any odds.
A friend had one retrofitted on 997 Turbo. The job was done by an independent workshop locally. It required some improvisation though. It is not a straightforward retrofit and this maybe the reason OPCs decline to do it.
It works well and even communicates with an aftermarket bluetooth.
berty987:I think you are right. The original wasn't the tringular pad steering wheel.
Not sure why it needed improvisation... all the parts bolt straight on, I can only assume the car had a sport steering wheel for which the covers / buttons are not designed. Everything else should be a straight swap and plug and play.
