    my 2nd trip to sant agata...

    an amazing trip.. and Valentino balboni is an amazing guy..he gave me a full day of time , invited me for lunch in the factory restaurant, let me try the lp640 and the 07 gallardo e-gear, then i sat next to him and he drove... what a driver, i dont know how to describe it ,but he and the car were one.. he answered all the questions, took me once again for a tour in the factory, saw many super legerra there being manufactured, the best one is the orange one IMO.. i was with a friend who was taking delivery of his 599 , also an amazing car, i was really impressed.after you drive the 599 , the 430 feels very old.thats the best ferrari ever IMO, and finally the gear box is great, big improvement on the 430 gear box.
    as for the drive of the lp...what a blast! that car feels like it is attached to a nuclear power plant , the push never stops...no words to describe. my next car after the gallaro no doubt...

    What is your opinion about 07 Gallardo? Difference between 07 and your?

    And your opinion about F1 in 599 vs. e-gear in 07 Gallardo?

    unfortunatly i didn't drove a super legerra, the fsi 550hp is coming in 08, but no visual changes.
    kreso, yes there is differences between mine and the 07, the main one is the confort , the 07 suspension and seats are much more comfortable than my 04, thus more suited to everyday driving. the second main difference is the short gear ratios . the engine sound is a great improvement also , but i dont have this problem since i have a tubi exhaust.
    the 599 gearbox is amazing, you have a sound on the gear change comparable to a 22 long riffle shot , stunning . very comfortable in auto mode , simply perfect all rounder gearbox. the 07 gallardo egear, is very comparable to the smg3, same behavior, same kick in the ass on gear change, in other words very sport oriented . the 599 gear box wins since its a perfect all rounder. its decades ahead of the 430 gearbox..

    A guy was taking delivery of his 599 when I dropped the 430 off for service this morning. Interior is very nice, but exterior does not attract me at all. Car is VERY loud for a V12 though!

    btw (a LP640 drove behind me on the way to the ferrari dealer, ) LP640 > 599 anyday!

    mike , we test drove in a hard way a yellow right hand drive lp640 that was going in a plane to south africa , could it be yours? i agree with you, i will take an lp over a 599 anytime but nonetheless the 599 is a great car, perfect in all aspects except for the look, where IMO its invisible next to an lp..
    amir , unfortunatly i was not allowed to takes pics of the legerra.
    shin, i was talking about major visual modifications, i have no clue if they will make slight changes. IMO they will make led lights.

    Dhayek, thanks a lot for clearing it up. I do hope we will see at least LED lights, new higher quality interior switchgear and maybe new restyled bumpers.

    what i know for sure is that in mid 09 there is a new gallardo ( might be called something else , i mean a gallardo replacement) , and in 2010 a new murci..
    i love the fact that lambo makes 7 or 8 years cycles , gives you time to enjoy the car

    The 599 makes me salivating (The first time I have this sensation towards a Ferrari since the 355), and I'm very curious about the superleggera...

    thats why i think there will be minor visual mods with the 550hp. then after 2 years they will present the new gallardo..just like the diablo 6.0 , they made it only for 2 years. if the new G will be presented in MY 2010 its life cycle would have been of 7 years, fair enough for the "small" lambo..

    Although, I really can't see Lamborghini launching two new models in 2010. Perhaps Murcielago's successor in 2010 and Gallardo's successor in 2011, mirroring their birthyears of 2002 and 2003 respectively...

    not really... lambo should always give a "plus" to their customers who pays 100K more for the murci,like the scissor doors and the longer life cycle , also the gallardo competes with the 430, so they cant afford to see a new 8 cylinder from ferrari and remain on their "old " gallardo that was presented before the 430..
    ferrari does the same , their 12 cylinder last a lot more than the 8
