    CS production version cancelled

    8 series is cancelled. Most probably X2, X4 and Z8 will be axed too.

    Very unfortunate as that was one of the best designs in a while. But it is a wise move. German car makers in particular must get going on electric cars, i believe they are behind because they have focused on diesel and hydrogen. Electric is the fututre, i do not see hydrogen going anywhere because of infrastructure costs.

    Yes, they work on new Mega city car , which will be offered with two different drive systems: in an all-electric powertrain and a highly efficient combustion engine.

     It wouldn't be wise to launch new flagship - 8 series (based on CS concept) in middle of recession, but they will work more on those economical projects.

    Also BMW Z2 will probably be axed.

    X5 M  , X6 M, X1 are too deep in development so they can't be cancelled anymore.
