Is sport-chrono a deal-breaker?
Should my friend abort the sale and wait for a manual with sport chrono? Should he go ahead and get it without SC?

A friend found the last available 997 turbo with manual transmission and NO sport chrono. The dealer doesn't have anything else until August 2007.

Not for me, I hate the wart and if the standard boost available with this car is not enough for you then you need to get an F18!!
It will be interesting to see the longevity or lack thereof, of engines utilizing this feature regularly.
