    Clear Side Markers v.s. Blacked-out Side Markers

    Which one doe you guys prefer on a black 997

    I have mind in clear but would like to see one if some rennteamer out there that has a black out side markers.

    I'm thinking of getting the clear ones, as the amber do look odd in comparison to the covers on the rest of the lights. I've got Basalt Black Metallic.

    Any idea on what they cost? How difficult is it to remove the old ones and install the new ones?

    My dealer changed mine to clear ones before I can even drive off the lot.

    I decided to go with the clear ones instead of the smoked out black side markers. I just bought mine off of eBay for 29.00 They were brand new. I haven't received it yet but I am pretty sure it is pretty to install.

    I decided to go with the clear ones so I just bought them on eBay. If you are looking for the blacked-out ones, ask around at your local aftermarket shops, they might have them in stock.

    I like the clear better. The black out ones remind me of those cheesy headlight and taillight covers that I used to have on my 94 Mustang. Sorry don't mean to offend.

    $35 USD from the dealer, you can install them yourself in minutes... do a search, there is plenty of discussion/pics, however that's the first time I've seen the black markers... IMO clear goes best with black

    Hi Gregg...Howzit...I like clear, actually depends on car color.. I could see the dark looking good on a few colors!!!

    My dealer just quoted me a couple hundred bucks to have the clear ones installed. I think I will buy them on ebay and figure it out myself!!!
