Great looking car!!! Love the GT3 like front and wide body without the wing on the back! And the color of the wheels - pure sex!
Thanks a lot! Yes, the aggressive front in combination with the wide wing-less rear is great. The car looks super low and wide in real. Ok, I need to sleep now...

Puh!
Delivered, driven and now asleep in the garage. In short, it is awesome. I will type up a more detailed report once I have put a few km on the clock.
Cheers

@bluelines: does the aerokit front give any ground clearance issues on ramps etc?
It is good that the front is allowed to fitted without the rear ducktail.
Dark Blue Carrera is generally an underrated choice, but it looks fantastic

congrats ! we should have a get together all in Spring being close to this dealer
Thanks! This is a great idea! With a tour up the hills around Lake Zug and lunch with a view

So far no issues. The front lip is lower than my previous 997.2 S with the regular front, but no scraping yet
There are some speed bumps on a 30km/h limit road around the corner from my house and the car makes it over. Puh! A 997.2 GT3 RS without lift system does not The real test will be the Hyatt parking in town which I have not dared to try yet. The 997.2 just made it down going very slow. I would hate to have to reverse out if the 991 does not make it down
Yes, it is great that the front is allowed without the rear spoiler. I believe the rear spoiler is raised higher with the -20mm and/or the SportDesign front. That is probably why it is now allowed, but was not previously on the 997.

As a consecuence of the increased wheelbase in the 991 vs the 997, the overhangs have been reduced in the 991 so that must help.
+1 Indeed, I think this is the reason. The front is lower, but the angle of approach similar.

I went down Hyatt with the RS many times - although I have a lift-system - so you should be fine ! Best parking there in zurich for me

+1 Great. That makes me more comfortable
If you make it down with the RS then I should be fine too.
Yes, definitely best parking in Zurich for me too. Easy to reach and the office is around the corner (not that I ever drive, but anyways).

Meanwhile, I have driven over 1'000 kilometres with the new blue baby. Yesterday we had a beautiful spring day and I shot this photo during a short drive along the hills above Lake Zürich. It still amazes me how much quicker, more agile and better handling the 991 is over the 997. It feels like everything works in perfect harmony, the engine, the all-wheel drive, the suspension and the transmission. An engineering masterpiece
I often find myself engaging Sport Plus and switching the PDK gear lever into manual. Then shift manually with the paddles. Never did gear shifting feel this enjoyable and rewarding. It is immediate, precise and engaging. It is like you think "shift" and it slams in the next gear under full power. The H-pattern manual shifter and clutch pedal feels hopelessly ancient, boring and retarded. It would spoil the entire experience. Note, before the manualists chop my head off, I would not declare the manual dead, but in such a car it no longer belongs. I do however want my future 964 RS with manual
It is a head-turner too. Never had so much attention as with this blue 991
Enjoy and tschüssli!

@bluelines: a great 911
Any issues with the front sport design spoiler after 1000kms. Its lower ground clearance carries a warning on the configurator
Thanks reginos!
No issue whatsoever with the SportDesign front spoiler. I never scraped it once. Did lots of speed bumps, parking garages, etc. Including the ones that scraped my previous 997.2 with -20mm and normal front So the 991 is lower and it scrapes less. I like it

It's a gorgeous car bluelines! The combination of dark blue metallic with the platinum wheels is absolutely stunning.
P.S.: make more pictures next time! The car deserves it!

+1 for pictures. Post more, such a beautiful 911. How does the adaptive tempomat works on the 911 (I see you have it installed)?
Here's a good youtube video from a 6Speed/Rennlist member, that very well explains how the system works.
He has done some other good videos as well. Unfortunately he has had some trouble with his car, but that's a different subject.

Yes, the adaptive cruise control... I used it exactly zero times It is not an option that I would have chosen myself, but it was there already. Some day I will try it. When I got bored of playing with all the other options.
I only noticed the little yellow warning sign coming on a few times when driving too close to the car in front. This happens even if the cruise control is not on. Useful? Or useless?
But the camera lens looks cool, doesn't it? Like a target seeker for a missile launcher

When you push that red button in the center console, the headlights flip open and then your missiles get armed for the launch. The crosshair shows up at your PCM and you use the extra stalk behind the steering wheel as a joystick for aiming...... If target is locked, just push the red button again to fire!
I've watched too many James Bond movies....

Bluelines, you will need the adaptive cruise control when you will follow me ...... can you set it so it just follows the faster car in front ?
Sorry, it does not work for such slow speeds

Thank you Suzy, I guess it is not the highlight of a 911 but a useful option nonetheless (I have it on my Audi S4 and it is an important safety feature).
