I know about M3 GTS which has an increased V8 (4.4) with at least 450 hp. BUT this car wears 110.000 Euro price tag incl. VAT in Germany.
So I don't think that Performance Package option for regular M3 would include this 4.4 engine.
If it will, then this would be awesome news.

2. the GTS is that expensive because it has other features too, not only the modded engine
3. like I said in the first post: still a rumor, it remains to be seen
4. I doubt that BMW developed the 4.4 l V8 with 450 HP for the GTS only
Personally, I get the feeling that BMW started to learn from Porsche how to make extra money.

Cost is €4300 in Germany with Mwst. and package features:
-new wheels 9x19 fronts and 10x19 rears with normal size tires
-10mm lower chassis with EDC and revised Sport programm
That is IT. NO engine upgrade what so ever. BMW M claim that CP equiped M3 is about 0.8s faster on the Hockenheima and around 4s faster on the Ring.

I intend to order an X6M at the end of March. Do think that the pack is then available?

This is "old" news, the Competition Package is already well known for two weeks now, BMW just released the new price list two days ago. This is NOT the power upgrade I was talking about.
The engine upgrade will be part of a Performance Pack which also includes a different throttle/DSC mapping. Introduction will be some time after the GTS sells out (right now it seems that the GTS is selling pretty well).
They're working on it, this doesn't mean it is 100%.

No. According to the rumors, the power upgrade will not be available before the X6 LCI. Earliest. Maybe BMW also just wants to see how the new Cayenne Turbo is doing.
