    VW Goes Crying To Lotus

    To build a better Boxster!

    Actually they plan to use Lotus space frame technology and the VW 250hp FSI engine to build a lightweight midengine sports car.

    With VW and Porsche ties stronger than ever, and Porsche planning to rebadge the coming Golf based crossover mini 4X4
    as a Mini Cayenne, maybe we will eventually see the new VW midengine sports car rebadged with more content as the new
    Boxster for MY2009.

    ridiculous, Porsche will never allow that, unless it's a supercheap car. what will happen apprently though is the outsourcing of the VW threewheeler to Lotus, which makes much more sense..

    VWs that became Porsche badged sports cars : the 914 and the 924 . Who knows what the future will bring ?
